Some pet owners either do not care or do not possess the ability to care for their pets. It is important to recognise things pet owners do that are very harmful to the wellbeing of their pets.
Here are some examples: 1) Keeping pets up to date on vaccinations. Disease spreads quite easily through domestic animals, so it is important to immunise your pets against these threats. This not only protects your pet but also the wellbeing of others and yourself as some diseases are contagious between humans and animals. 2) Letting pets roam free in undesignated areas. You would not be pleased in the slightest to discover pet litter in parks not made for pets. So why let your own pets do it? Leaving pets unsupervised can also be dangerous towards them and others. Outbursts of violence can occur within pets which could seriously harm or injure other people. 3) Neglecting pets. Forgetting to feed or failing to provide them with enough exercise is not healthy for your pets. Having health concerns ignored is also dangerous towards pets. 4) Abusing or abandoning pets. This is one of the worst things you can do to domestic animals. Many pet owners do it for several reasons, they either cannot take care of them anymore or take out things in their life on their own pets. Some owners might even threaten to kill their pets so that animal shelters would take in their pets despite them not being able to properly provide for excessive amounts of animals. Animals also have feelings and emotions, and they should be treated as such. Neglecting or not caring for your pet properly is unacceptable. Never adopt or bring pets into your lives if you cannot provide or take care of them. Forcing animal shelters to take pets in also harms the pets themselves if the animal shelter does not have the capacity or resources to provide for them. I am 13 years old, born in January of 2009. My birthplace is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I currently go to school at SCBC. I have 2 older sisters, a mother, and a father.
My family lives all over the world. My mother is in Malaysia working as a professor. My eldest sister lives in France for her study and my other sister lives further up north of Perth, and I live with my father down south of Perth. I grew up in Malaysia until I moved to Australia in 2020. I learnt Chinese and English in my old schools which meant moving to Australia did not pose a struggle to me with the language barrier. Although I still used Chinese to communicate between my sisters and mother, this also meant the chances of me using Chinese lessened in school and thus I started forgetting how to write many basic words and phrases. I am currently in Year 8 Stream 1, which is the highest and hardest stream of all four main subjects in my school. The electives I chose were Flight and Esports. Both these subjects interest me because they are involved either with a hobby I enjoy or a topic I like. My favourite subjects are Flight, Digital Technologies, and Science. I also enjoy Math but most of the content we cover in class I have already learned about. I enjoy playing video games with friends online, reading a book series or watching videos of topics I like. I chat and play with online friends throughout the day to pass time while at home. I find book series to read and enjoy during my free time or watch videos of topics I am interested in online. Other than playing volleyball in PE at school, I am not interested in any sport activities and am more of an indoor person. |
